Violent Pateient Management Instructor School added to the 2011 Training Calendar. CONSISTENCY IN TRAININGJack Leonard
Associate Staff Instructor VIOLENT PATIENT MANAGEMENT INSTRUCTOR SCHOOL added to the 2011 Training Calendar. In addition to the standard PPCT Core Areas of Survival Learning, Control Principles, and Instructor Development, this Instructor Certification Seminar has a specific Use of Force Continuum for Health Care Professionals. It also includes Contact Controls for low levels of resistance, Compliance Controls for medium levels of resistance, and High Level Controls for serious physical assaults. Although designed forHealth Care Professionals in a hospital setting, it is equally applicable for Hospital Security Officers and EMTs/First Responders in the field. All of these groups will find VPM techniques useful when dealing with violent patients and/or other collateral persons such as the patient’s friends or family members. This Instructor Certification Seminar will be offered at the Allegheny County Police Training Academy just north of the City of Pittsburgh. Seminar dates are 2/21-2/23, 2011.
